Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: November 24th, 2025

At The Davidson Center for Learning, LLC (operating as The Vinod Learning Center, The Davidson Center, and The Davidson Center for Learning), we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all students, families, and visitors.

We believe that every learner deserves equitable access to high-quality education. Although our current physical office has unavoidable architectural limitations, we are dedicated to offering alternative accommodations and continuously improving accessibility both in-person and online.

1. Commitment to Accessibility

We are committed to making our services available to all individuals, including those with disabilities. Our goal is to provide tutoring, educational support, and communication in ways that respect dignity, independence, and equal opportunity.

We continually review our practices and welcome feedback on how we can improve.

2. Physical Location Accessibility

Our office is located at:

452 S Main Street, Suite J
Davidson, NC 28036

Unfortunately, the building that houses our suite can only be accessed by a flight of exterior stairs. The building does not have an elevator or ramp. As a result, the suite is not wheelchair-accessible and may not be safely reachable by individuals with certain mobility, balance, or medical limitations.

Why the building is not accessible

  • The building is an older structure with fixed architectural constraints.

  • As a tenant, we do not have the legal authority or practical ability to modify the external structure.

  • Because the entire building is only reachable by stairs, certain ADA standards that apply to interior spaces (such as specific bathroom accessibility features) do not apply under ADA structural exemption rules.

Interior Facilities

You provided a photo of the restroom (timestamped November 24, 2025), and while the restroom includes standard fixtures (sink, toilet, and tub/shower), it does not include accessible features such as:

  • ADA-compliant grab bars

  • Required turning radius

  • Lowered or accessible sinks

  • Accessible height dispensers

Given that the entire suite is inaccessible due to stairs, the restroom’s non-accessible layout falls under the same exemption category.
However — and this is important for your statement — your commitment to accessibility stands regardless of legal exemptions, and you can express that positively.

3. Alternative Accommodations

Although the physical suite is not accessible, we provide full and equivalent tutoring services through accessible alternative formats, including:

✔ Virtual tutoring sessions

Available through Zoom or Google Meet, allowing students to receive full support without needing to enter the physical location.

✔ Phone consultations and parent meetings

For families who prefer a non-visual or low-tech option.

✔ Document-based tutoring assistance

Support through email or secure document sharing for homework, essays, or problem sets.

✔ Flexible scheduling for remote services

We make every possible effort to accommodate time zones, medical needs, or energy-related limitations.

If you need these or other accommodations, please contact us — we are always willing to find a solution.

4. Website Accessibility

We aim to keep our website accessible to as many users as possible and strive toward WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Our website includes:

  • Keyboard-friendly navigation

  • Clear headings and structured content

  • Readable font sizes

  • High-contrast color combinations

  • Alt-text for meaningful images

  • Logical layout for assistive technology compatibility

Third-party content limitations

Some website elements provided by external services (e.g., maps, embedded videos, scheduling tools) may not fully meet accessibility standards. We do not control these systems, but if you encounter an issue, we are happy to help provide the information in another form.

5. Requesting Accommodations or Reporting Barriers

We welcome feedback from students, parents, and visitors. If you:

  • Have difficulty accessing our physical location

  • Need a reasonable accommodation

  • Experience an accessibility issue on our website

  • Have suggestions about improving access

please contact us:

📧 vinod@vinodlearningcenter.com
📞 704-997-5157

We typically respond within 2 business days.

6. Ongoing Improvements

Although certain structural features of the building are beyond our control, we are committed to:

  • Maintaining accessible virtual service options

  • Updating our website for greater accessibility

  • Reviewing accessibility requests and feedback

  • Training our staff to support diverse needs

We value inclusive education and continue working toward accessibility improvements whenever feasible.
